Dental

The Elgin Foundation dental model consists of initial dental screenings and subsequent dental treatment for referred elementary students. Under the model, elementary schools partner with Elgin Foundation by coordinating dental screenings and treatment by transporting students to a local dental office.

By removing the cost burden to under-served families, Elgin Foundation is creating a culture of lifelong dental health and building a foundation for strong and healthy children in Appalachia.  Elgin is currently serving 37 school districts in 28 counties in 200 schools.  Our dental program has conducted over 166,764 dental screenings since its inception.
